This fall has offered multiple opportunities to expand my collaborative efforts.

At the Institute Library, New Haven, CT, prints and ephemera from my collaborative project with Jeanne Criscola, Oral History: A Recipe for Memory are included in the exhibit Melted Pots and Cooked Books, curated by Martha Willette-Lewis, through December 14. Our newest edition, A Mouth Full: The Re-Cookbook, will be included. Expertly designed by Jeanne Criscola, she describes this self-published book as “a prototype for rethinking what a cookbook evokes and what it can become—a place where the mind can wander through memories of food, recipes, people, and places that make us who we are.” It will be available for purchase mid-October.

Mid-October I head to Sante Fe, New Mexico where I will be one of 100 photographers selected to participate in Review Sante Fe,  https://gallery.visitcenter.org/reviewsantafe2019/

If you are in the area I will be taking part in the Portfolio Walk on Friday, 10/18, 6-pm at The Sante Fe Farmers Market Pavilion. This is free and open to the public, a chance to see the work of the participating photographers.

Upon returning I gear up for the annual City-Wide Open Studios, organized by Artspace, New Haven. The theme this year is Older But Younger, with projects that encourage intergenerational collaboration. My daughter, Alexis Neider, and I will have our collaborative project, Cakes & Conversation, featured in Room 1C, on the Hall of Collaborations, during Alternative Space Weekend, November 2 & 3. Location: Yale West Campus (410 West Campus Drive, West Haven, CT)

In addition to our mixed media images, we will be in performance on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 12-2:00p.m., serving tea and cake, encouraging visitors to share their memories, recipes, et al, around favorite cakes and the events at which they were served.
